Good food, great prices, friendly and attentive staff. We sat outside on a lovely fall day.

Always enjoy eating here but have concerns. The food is always good but over time their prices have gone up substantially. I understand the price increase but when the portion size is reduced as well, very disappointing. Tacos are especially smaller.

Waste of time and effort, luckily not money as we walked out before ordering. We were seated, brought chips, and that is the last time anyone visited our table. 7 employees standing around the food window, but nobody could be bothered to visit a table and take a drink order. When my husband approached an employee he was barely acknowledged. If you’ve been sitting long enough to run out of chips and salsa, and still haven’t been acknowledged by wait staff, it’s pathetic. I waited tables for years. It’s shameful to be so lousy at your job that you have tables walking out, especially when the restaurant is not all that busy.

Food not great. Servers were friendly and helpful. Margaritas were good, chips, salsa and queso not so much.

The salsa was nothing more than watered down tomato paste. Very sparing on the chicken and what was there was mostly gristle, but ther was enough iceberg lettuce to choke a horse so after I pushed that aside over half my meal was gone. The Texas Margherita was expensive and no alcohol . Nice to know the service has not changed, just now Covid 19 gives excuse

The food is absolutely perfect and I'm a picky 8 year old who doesn't eat anything Mexican but this is just delicious if you need a place to eat that's Mexican I suggest you go here at El Charro Mexican Grillits so decorative and decorated food service is great and fast

I've been to multiple Mexican restaurants and this one tops them all. I almost always get the Arroz con Pollo. I've never been disappointed and always look forward to getting out again.

El Charro offers Happy Hour until 9pm. They serve more than generous helpings. Such a beautiful restaurant. Great food!

The food was delicious, but our waitress had an attitude the whole time. I will go back because I've heard that their service is normally flawless, but this waitress didn't reflect that. Even with that experience, I would still recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

My son and I had Fajitas here. I ordered a chicken and beef and my son had beef. The next morning I developed an extreme case of food poison complete with almost unbearable stomach cramps. Later that day my son ate my leftovers just to see if the chicken was the culprit. Within hours he was in the hospital same shape. It has now been two weeks and I am vomiting in addition to diarrhea. My next stop is going to be the ER. I also mentioned my experience to a store clerk in Floyd and she told me that she had a similar experience after consuming the same meal. I called the restaurant and spoke with the restaurant manager. He asked me to describe my symptoms. The manager simply said he was sorry, no offer to reimburse, no offer to make things right. On Monday i will call the Floyd County Health Department and file a formal complaint. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!

Good food. First visit here today and I must say it was just exactly what I wanted. Fantastic workers, took no time to get our food and fair prices on everything! Coming back again soon.

My friend and I are connoisseurs of Mexican food. We know what authentic and fresh food tastes like and unfortunately, this is not it. Our service was okay and the restaurant was pretty clean. Our margaritas, which happened to be on special, tasted like pure sugary syrup with no alcohol whatsoever! The food was subpar as well as the prices! It's a no from us!

Coming from California it is tough to find good Mexican food in other parts of the country but El Charro is pretty darn good! The food comes hot, has good flavor and comes in a timely fashion. I have eaten there many times over the years and am never disappointed.

This place rocks. If you love Mexican food, this joint will not disappoint. Hubby and I have eaten at several bigger Mexican restaurants and we both agree El Charro is better. If you like spicy, try the Colorado beef. Yummmm! The help is extremely friendly. Alcohol on-site.

We went back for supper after being pleased with lunch visits....our waiter took our order I asked twice for cheese dip...he never brought it nor refilled our drinks ,,,heck he disappeard! 4 staff stood around register chatting and the owner talked to folks behind us for 15 minutes...no one offered us anything...i had to go to register to get check....very disappointed!!!

I went here for lunch with my mother and the food is okay. Their guacamole isn't even real guacamole it has sour cream or something in it. The worst part of the whole experience was that our waitress disappeared and we were waiting for a while for her to come back. When we finally got tired of waiting and went to the front to find out what happened to her we were told she went on break! When we pointed out how utterly unprofessional that was to the gentleman at the counter he didn't really seemed to care and acted like that was the norm.I hope this place is paying their wait staff well because they are definitely not getting it in tips.
